Moving your family to Taipei? Hand us the list.

The container is arriving, the apartment needs work and your parents need a doctor who listens. One person at TRA plans it with you, books the right people, checks their work and keeps you updated.

The kind of thing families ask us.

Small or large, one message to us is enough. We work out who does what.

  • “Get the apartment cleaned and the fridge stocked before our flight lands.”
  • “Our container clears customs on Thursday. Have the movers there and the beds set up by Friday night.”
  • “Find a pediatrician in Da'an who speaks English, and book the first visit.”
  • “My parents are moving into the flat downstairs. Get them a clinic, a phone plan and a ride to the market.”
  • “Book a private room for a 12-person family dinner on Lunar New Year's Eve.”
  • “Plan a day on the north coast that works for a four-year-old and a grandmother.”
  • “The air conditioner is leaking and the landlord only speaks Chinese. Sort it out.”
  • “A chef for Saturday: eight guests, one vegetarian, one nut allergy.”
  • “We are opening a shop next year. Show us three spaces and introduce an accountant.”
  • “Our relatives fly in for two weeks in March. Cars from the airport, a hotel list and a plan for each day.”

What we arrange.

  • Arrival planning

Your family's first 30 days planned before you land: temporary housing, airport pickup, phones, bank appointments and a short list of neighbourhoods to see.

  • Home search with TRA

Our sister team at TRA finds the apartment, deals with every agent for you and negotiates the agent fee.

  • Shipment and move-in

When your container clears customs, we line up the movers, check the boxes against your list and get the furniture set up before you move in.

  • Home setup

Utilities, internet, appliances, curtains and small repairs: we book the vendors, meet them at the apartment and check the work.

  • Repairs and renovation

We find a qualified contractor, compare quotes and stay on site, so you are not the one explaining the problem in Chinese.

  • Private chef at home

A chef cooks at your home for a family dinner, guests or a week of meals, planned around what your family eats.

  • Private car and day trips

A few hours, a full day or two days out of Taipei with a licensed driver, planned around your family's pace.

  • Schools and kids

We shortlist schools, book visits, follow up on applications and find classes, tutors and registered babysitters.

  • Care for parents

For families bringing parents home: clinic appointments, someone to go with them, and introductions to licensed caregivers and home-care agencies.

  • Household help

Helpers, housekeepers and drivers are hired through a licensed agency chosen for your needs and budget. We handle every conversation with them for you, from the first brief to problems after they start.

  • Family events

Birthdays, holiday dinners and private parties, including private bookings at the venues we run ourselves.

  • Paperwork support

We prepare the checklist, book the appointment and go with you to the bank, the district office or the immigration office.

  • Shop space and business setup

For families starting a business here: shop search, talks with landlords and introductions to accountants.

  • Anything else

Tell us what is taking up your week. If we can't do it ourselves, we will tell you who can.

How it works.

No membership and no annual fee. You pay for what you ask us to do.

  1. Free call

Tell us about your family, your timing and what is taking up your time. Twenty to thirty minutes is usually enough.

  2. Plan and quote

We find providers that fit your needs and your budget, then send a short plan: what we will do, who will do it, and the cost. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

  3. We coordinate

We book, brief and follow up with every provider, in Chinese, and deal with the changes along the way.

  4. Report back

When each job is done you get a short update with photos and receipts.

How pricing works

  • The first call is free. We ask about your family, your dates and what you want off your plate.
  • Each request is quoted before we start. Our fee covers planning and coordination.
  • Vendor costs are listed separately. Movers, cars, chefs and contractors appear on the quote as their own line.

Who does the work

We plan and coordinate. Anything that needs a licence is done by a licensed partner.

  • Cars and drivers come from licensed car companies. We plan and coordinate the trip.
  • Overnight trips: we arrange the transport. Hotels are booked by you or through a licensed travel agency.
  • Waste collection is done by a licensed collection company.
  • Caregivers, babysitters and household staff are hired through licensed agencies, and you sign with the agency. We are your single point of contact with them.
  • At the bank, district office or immigration office, we prepare and go with you. The application is yours.
  • Renovation and repairs are done by qualified contractors.
